Bréhat Island — a world apart within reach

Just a few minutes by boat from the Pointe de l’Arcouest (near Paimpol), Bréhat Island is a true escape. Nicknamed “the Island of Flowers”, it captivates visitors with its preserved landscapes, mild microclimate, and rich plant life.

A car-free island

There are no cars here — visitors get around on foot or by bike, making it a perfect destination for families and nature lovers. The atmosphere is calm and serene, ideal for relaxation and quiet exploration.

What to see on Bréhat?

  • The Paon Lighthouse at the northern tip, with spectacular views over the rocks and ocean
  • Hidden coves with turquoise water
  • Granite houses surrounded by agapanthus, eucalyptus, and fig trees
  • Coastal trails ideal for a half-day hike

Getting to the island

Boats depart from Pointe de l’Arcouest in Ploubazlanec. A large parking lot is available near the dock. You have two options for crossing:

  • Direct crossing: about 10 minutes
  • Scenic boat tour: about 45 minutes, offering beautiful views of the island from the sea
